5 minutes late to the writing routine
and now another 9 minutes.
i shouldn't have stopped to send another email because that could have waited till after the 30-min blog.
boot camp is going to start tomorrow. i have not yet prepared for it and i am wondering about the expectation for this based on the fact that this deliverable was announced at around 6pm this evening, and the first session is 23 hours from then.
K suggested a business model canvas for my pottery practice, which is exciting and i really want to happen.
at the same time it feels like i can't afford the time to make that happen because of all the other things happening at work
then again maybe i'm slow
then again i just need to pick up the pace and work smart
finola a past classmate in the ceramics workshop she has a running business now and i don't know what it is about being in england that makes small businesses so easy to set up. it's a fiver to throw and 20 to have your work fired. not bad income i would imagine. and she has recently moved out of her small space because her lessons are thriving.
it would be good to run lessons at where i work now but at the same time i walk into that room and it doesn't feel right. there's lizard/rat/whatever nocturnal living thing poo that is fresh most mornings i go in there. the water splutters. there aren't any wooden surfaces that can be used for clay. furniture of previous providers has a commanding presence that i am unable to be at home with.
then again getting rid of all that furniture will give me an even emptier space. that could be daunting.
but also it could be great.
this saturday is full so i won't be able to get the throwing wheel from cubao then. so hopefully next saturday. technically i only work 4 days but i don't think i can afford to take that day off at the moment. especially at the rate i am going.
K's momentum and dedication is pretty unbelievable and i am ripped open by the opposing forces of shame and resolve.
it's 1 minute to 9pm and i have just paid attention for a few seconds to where i am. i am in my room, on my desk, it is quiet, other family members are downstairs minding their own business. i am grateful about this, that i have my own space. sometimes i feel like i have none but maybe it's also because of how i don't fully claim my own space.
i like that i am now facing my back against the door to my room because now i am less distracted with whatever may be going on around me, i am facing part wall and part window.
i think i could really love this room and it could really start to feel home, i hope i can invite friends to "christen" it some time. i think all my life i have never really let friends lounge in my house (whichever house it is), much less lounge in my room. i dunno why that is difficult to do in my family. some parents are easy to move around their children's friends - not mine as it goes.
i will probably write another post because i just realised that K had some points for me to consider in this post which i completely forgot about.
